Op 25, 26 en 27 januari vindt in de Jaarbeurs Utrecht de nieuwe beurs Gezond Leven 2008 plaats. Nooit eerder was er een landelijk evenement waar alles is te vinden over gezond(er) leven en langer gezond blijven en men zich op allerlei manieren ter plekke kan laten testen. De belangrijkste thema’s van de beurs zijn preventie, gezondheidsbevordering en –bescherming.
De beursvloer is opgedeeld in verschillende zones: Medisch, Voeding, Verzorging, Kuren & Therapieën en Sport & Avontuur. In samenwerking met de Nederlandse Vereniging van Diëtisten en de Nederlandse Vereniging van Mondhygiënisten is er respectievelijk een Voedingspaviljoen en een Mondzorgpaviljoen. Verder is er nog een Oor-, Oog-, Huid- en Gezond Zwanger Zijn Paviljoen in samenwerking met diverse overkoepelende Nederlandse organisaties/verenigingen.
Bezoekers ontvangen bij de entree het beursmagazine met daarin de Gezond Leven Preventie Route. Hiermee volgt de bezoeker bij aankomst een wandelparcours over de beurs langs interactieve stands waar gezondheid check-ups worden uitgevoerd, zoals gehoortesten, oogtesten, polsdiagnoses, tandvlees controle, bloeddrukmeting, huidtest, migrainetest, vetmetingen, etc, etc.
Tijdens de beurs biedt het lezingentheater een hoogwaardig en interessant lezingenprogramma in samenwerking met gerenommeerde instituten en professionals. Onderwerpen die o.a. aan bod komen zijn: overgewicht, kinderen en voeding, feiten en fabels door de Ned. Vereniging van Diëtisten.
